From salem.org:
“The Witch House welcomes History Alive, Inc.’s production titled “Travail” which takes the audience on a tour of medical practice in New England over the last 300 years, specifically the history of women’s heath, obstetrical care and birth customs. It follows the struggle of a traditional midwife, whom we first meet in the 18th century as she endeavors to practice her inherited vocation in the increasingly flooded field of male, professionalized, European-trained doctors, to the present, where she sits on the periphery of standardized obstetrics. This performance will take place at the Free with admission to the Witch House.”
Be sure to check out the shown on March 26th from 3:00-4:00 PM. Tickets will run $6.25-$10.25.
Enjoy!! <3
