SalemRecycles First Repair Cafe — August 5, 2017

I think this is such a unique idea and a good way to keep repairable things from the landfills.

“SalemRecycles is excited to partner with The Bridge at 211 for our first Repair Cafe! Repair Cafe is a free event, run completely by volunteers, to help you repair and restore your broken items, keeping them out of the waste stream.

JOIN US at The Bridge at 211 on Saturday, August 5 from 9:00AM to noon. Park in the small lot at 211 Bridge Street, or on nearby streets and walk over.

BRING your item to be repaired: Knives or scissors to be sharpened, clothing to be mended, jewelry to be fixed, furniture for gluing, cameras and electronics to be repaired or rewired.

DEMO: At 11:00 a.m., we’ll give a brief demonstration on how to prep and store your garden tools for winter. Learn steps you can take now to keep implements in good shape and ready-to-go come next spring.
