The Salem Maritime Festival — August 4-6, 2017

The 29th annual Salem Maritime Festival is coming August 4-6, 2017.

Hosted by Salem Maritime National Historic Site in cooperation with the Essex National Heritage Commission the 29th annual Festival features live music, historical reenactors, harbor cruises, demonstrations, interactive programs, arts, crafts, and more! Stay tuned for details.

Harbor Cruises

One of the most popular features of the Salem Maritime Festival is the free 90-minute boat rides around Salem Harbor. The following vessels will participate in free harbor cruises:

– Schooner Ardelle, an authentic Cape Ann Vessel from Gloucester

– Sea Shuttle’s Endeavour, learn about marine science of Salem Sound

– Schooner Fame, a full-scale replica of a War of 1812 Privateer

– Also, Schooner Adventure returns to Salem for the Maritime Festival! Don’t miss a chance to board this National Historic Landmark dockside on Saturday, August 5 and Sunday, August 6th

Live Music

We’ll have a stage, chairs, and dance floor ready for fun! Joining us for this year’s festival are the following performers: Wolf Music, Ye Mariners All, Sharks Come Crusin, Warszawiaki Orchestra, 3 Sheets to the Wind, Marina Evans, Jackson Gilman, New Bedford Harbor Sea Chantey Chorus, Marina Evans and West End Ramblers.
