Join the Salem Spice Festival for a celebration of Salem’s long and fascinating history with exotic spices from around the world. Spices, herbs and teas will be explored in culinary and medicinal usage.
Arts and crafts, food, demonstrations live music, lectures, workshops and storytelling will all be featured.

Travel to Pioneer Village
Trolley service is available
The Salem Trolley will shuttle guests on both Saturday the 10th and Sunday the 11th from the National Park Service Visitors Center at 2 New Liberty Street, Salem to Pioneer Village making a continuous loop starting at 9:45 a.m. and ending at 4:15 p.m. With the exception of 10:15-10:45 and 3:15-3:45. The charge for the trolley is $3.00 one way and $5.00 round trip to be paid by the guest. Driver gratuity is not included.
Driving directions from downtown Salem
From downtown Salem, follow Route 1A/114/Lafayette Street toward Marblehead. Take a left onto West Avenue and follow the road straight into Forest River Park. Pioneer Village is on the left-hand side as you are facing the ocean. Less than 10 minutes from downtown Salem.
For GPS and online directions, use Forest River Park. Parking is free for visitors to Pioneer Village.
Public Transportation
MBTA access — bus routes 455 and 459 from Salem Depot (downtown Salem) to Clifton Ave (see MBTA map). Cross Lafayette St, then follow Clifton Ave towards Forest River Park. Pioneer Village is on the left-hand side as you are facing the ocean.
