If you haven’t stopped by the Peabody Essex Museum to check out the “It’s Alive” collection, I highly suggest you do. The PEM has teamed up with Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett and displayed his classic horror and sci-fi collection and it looks awesome.
The PEM pm event for September plays off that theme and is a joint effort with Salem Horror Fest. It takes place on Sept. 22, 2017 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM. Details per the PEM website:
“Special Night! Inspired by our exhibition It’s Alive! Classic Horror and Sci-Fi Art from the Kirk Hammett Collection, we’ve teamed up with Salem Horror Fest. Make your own horror poster, dance to beats by DJ Zombi and live tunes by Scary Mary and the Audio Corsette. Check out works by locals featured in our Women in Horror expo and enjoy a feature performance by M Lamar. Don’t miss the 9 pm screening of Night of the Living Dead to kick off the Salem Horror Film Fest (separate ticket required).”
Members, college students and Salem residents (with ID) free, nonmembers $12.
Tickets for the 9pm screening of Night of the Living Dead are sold separately and may be obtained in advance by clicking here. The screening will honor Duane Jones with the inaugural Salem Horror Award.
Enjoy!! <3
