At The Gables, the Family Navigation Game will be offered during regular operating hours and included with admission to the site. Families will be given all of the tools they need to explore the grounds of our National Historic Landmark District and learn about architecture and the Great Age of Sail.

“Do you like to sing, dance, do stand up comedy or have a unique talent? Then please sign up for our “Wicked Wednesday” Talent Show hosted by the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Salem. This special talent show for kids will take place on Wednesday, October 25th from 4:30-7:00 p.m at Fountain on the walking next to PEM. This is a city wide talent show for kids ages 8-15. If you are interested in showing us your special skills such as acting, singing, dancing, gymnastics, karate, painting, magic, funny skits or playing a musical instrument, then you’re all set with an excellent stage act. All acts must be under 5 minutes and we ask that you bring your own props. There will be various prizes! Please make sure you are registered for an act by Wednesday, October 11th. The categories for awards will be Best Dance, Best Singing, Best Overall Performance, Most Creative and Best Effort. The age groups for prizes are 8-11 and 12-15. We will have a panel of Salem VIP’s who will judge the contest.

Annual Little Monsters Parade

“Salem will be getting all sorts of adorable and spooky as Creative Salem and The Phoenix School, Salem, MA bring back the annual little monsters parade to Downtown Salem. The parade will start at Riley Plaza and will head up Washington St. to Lappin Park and then head down the Pedestrian Mall to the fountain stage where the kids will have a dance and costume party. At the stage, there will be kids music and performances by some character actors featuring popular costumed character personalities and more!”
