The Friday Favorites — Appetizers

I know it has been a minute since I have done a Friday Favorites post…but here we are back in action today with some delicious appetizers. 🙂 There are soooo many yummy restaurants in Salem that all bring something different to the table (har har, pun) but these ones are a few of my favorites.

First up, I have recently discovered how much I like the buffalo chicken flatbread at Rockafellas (pictured above). When sitting in one of their window booths about a month back, I debated between that flatbread and the margherita one, and I am glad I gave it a go. SUPER yummy. I would definitely suggest giving it a try if you like buffalo chicken. Makes a good appetizer or is enough for one person to even have as a meal if you wanted something lighter.

Next is an old favorite of mine and I have mentioned it before, but it is so delicious I have to say it again. The Big Dig Fries at Tavern in the Square are so good! They’re a pile of waffle fries with cheese, bacon, sour cream and scallions. Definitely enough to share and very filling.

Last, I have to give a nod to the scallion pancakes at Koto. I am obsessed with adding scallions to literally everything and I definitely enjoyed these. I have no idea of that’s a “normal” appetizer for a sushi place to have but I am glad Koto does!
