PERFORMANCES
Cubs Lion Dance
11–11:30 am | Atrium
Help us kick off the festival with a lion dance performance by The Cubs of Gund Kwok. These young dancers (ages 6 to 9) have mastered the strength, skill and coordination required to perform this tradition.
Gund Kwok Lion Dance
11:30 am–noon | Atrium
Gund Kwok Asian Women’s Lion Dance Troupe, the only all-women lion dance group in the country, performs this traditional dance to ward off evil for the coming year. Following their dance, talk with the performers and get up close to their costumes.
Guzheng Youth Band
Noon–1:40 pm | Morse Auditorium

Join us for a performance by young masters of ancient Chinese string instruments. A nonprofit organization founded in 2007, the band promotes Chinese music and culture in the U.S. and seeks to improve children’s appreciation of Chinese music.

When a radio falls from the sky, a young Tibetan Mastiff named Bodi is inspired to leave his home on Snow Mountain to follow his dream of becoming a rock musician. Based on a Chinese graphic novel, Rock Dog was co-produced by Chinese and American film studios. 2017, PG, recommended for ages 6 and older.”
