A tarot reading with Yulia Applewood at Hex — Salem MA Attractions Reviews

We’re back today with another Salem review on the blog!! Last week while walking around Salem I was hit with the urge to get a tarot reading. I read tarot myself but it’s helpful sometimes to have an outside perspective, to have someone who doesn’t know you or your situation at all read for you because you know it’s not biased. I’ve had tarot readings from a few other shops around town and I only felt lukewarm about how it went, so I decided to give Hex a try. I’ve been in the shop of course but have never had a reading there.

The sign outside the door said the reader for the day was Yulia Applewood. I made the decision before hand to walk in and just see what sort of vibe I got. Entering Hex, she was seated in her window spot to the left and I immediately got a warm energy from her when we made eye contact, which honestly sealed the deal. She smiled at me in a very welcoming way and greeted me as I entered. So up to the counter I went and I booked a 15 minute reading with her which cost $40. Please note that if you have gone to the Salem Witch Museum before hand, if you keep your receipt with sticker you can save $5 on your reading. When the time frame for my read came up, she sat down with me and I feel like it went really well. She started with reading my palms for about five minutes or so. She made comments about what she saw and pointed out a few things to me so I could see and understand where she was coming from with her statements. She moved onto the cards, having me shuffle them to get my own energy into the mix and read for me. She made helpful comments addressing my questions and offered insight into what she saw things looking like for me.

I left the reading feeling very calm, happy and satisfied with how it went. While I’m not going to give insight into what I went into the reading asking about or what she said (because it’s only applicable to me) I can say that I would go back and have Yulia read my cards again. She has a very nice vibe to her, is welcoming, approachable and friendly. She listens to your questions, explains more regarding things you want clarification on and I would definitely recommend her to someone looking for a read in Salem.
