I know…Christmas stuff? Already? We haven’t even gotten to Halloween. I still wanted to share this though because Historic Salem is looking for volunteers. I’ll share event info for Christmas in Salem at a future point – after Halloween, I promise. π
Details per their newsletter:
“It may seem crazy to already have the Holidays on the brain (especially when we haven’t even survived October yet), but such is life at HSI Headquarters! We are currently looking for Volunteer Tour Guides for our 39th Annual Christmas in Salem Holiday House Tour. The tour will be headquartered at the House of the Seven Gables and will feature the Historic Derby Street Neighborhood, including several sites related to Nathaniel Hawthorne.
Tour Guides will be stationed in a room of one of the houses featured on the tour, where they will share information about the architecture, history, and decorations of the house (this information will be provided to you). Guide shifts will be as follows (one shift will be given per guide):
Friday, November 30th from 5:30pm to 8:30pm
Saturday, December 1st from 10:30am to 1:00pm and from 1:00pm to 4:30pm
Sunday, December 2nd from 11:30am to 2:00pm and from 2:00pm to 4:30pm
All Tour Guides will receive 1 FREE TICKET to attend the tour.
Please see our list of Tour Guide Responsibilities for more information.
If you are interested in volunteering, please submit this form or contact Alyssa at 978-745-0799 or alyssa@historicsalem.org.”
Good luck and enjoy!! <3
