About a month ago the Salty Buddha tagged me on Instagram in their Occult Things post and I made a note of it because it looked so neat! It’s a traveling workshop that covers an overview of spell work and all things witchy. I love it! Details per the Salty Buddha website:
“Sylva Sylvarum presents a 2-day weekend intensive on all things witchy just in time for Halloween! Occult Things is a NYC based traveling workshop that provides a general overview of different methods for spellworking. Topics include casting a circle, altar tools, intention setting, energy balancing, herbalism, candle crafting, and everyday rituals for wellness. Students will leave with a comprehensive working knowledge of spellcrafting. All supplies are provided and each student will depart with a completed smudge stick for cleansing and a Solar Blast 7-day pullout candle.

Introduction to the occult and spirituality
Tools for Spellwork – Students will learn how to build a ritual toolbox
Smudging– Students will learn how to cleanse a space for spellwork and craft a sage and Palo Santo smudge stick
Lunch
Protection– Students will learn how to avoid negative energy and psychic vampires
Calling the Spirits– Students will learn how to tap in to working with the spirit guides
Uncrossing – Students will participate in a community reiki circle

Morning meditation and chakra balancing
Gemology 101 – Students will learn about the magickal properties of stones
Herbalism 101 – Students will learn about the magickal properties of herbs
Color Magick – Students will learn about the magickal properties of colors

Candle Magick – Students will learn how to use candles in rituals
Intention Setting – Students will learn how to channel their ritual energy
Attracting Positivity – Students will craft a Solar Blast candle
Closing ritual and sharing of gratitude for the spirits
