Yesterday on social media, Count Orlok’s Nightmare Gallery announced they won’t be holding the annual haunted house this year due to the recent move into their new space. Image and details are per Facebook:
“Hello fellow monster fans!!! I write to you tonight after a very exhausting weekend but what a whole lot of fun that was!! This message though is to tell you of a change of plans here at CONG. We will not be doing the scheduled haunted house this year after all. When we opened so late this season after moving and developing a new space we realized that we would have to hit the ground running but we did not realize that we would have to hit the ground sprinting! The past 2 and a 1/2 months have been a constant whirring of activity. So much activity that I wasn’t able to find any time to fully develop all of The Haunted house program for our visitors this year. And instead of delivering a half-baked product, I decided to take a little more time in honoring these monsters by extending the museum hours this October season which will cancel the haunted house program for this year. This is not to say that we aren’t doing one next year, just not this year. So our museum WILL be OPEN daily for extended hours as planned but will not switch over to haunt at any time. Those of you who pre-purchased double dare passes will be refunded between today and tomorrow. I’ve already refunded half of the orders. I apologize to those of you who planned events around our haunt and invite you to visit our new museum space on 217 Essex St if you havent seen it yet. People are really enjoying our new location! Thank you for your understanding and your patronage and your friendship. We appreciate it immensely.”
Count Orlok’s Nightmare Gallery is located at 217 Essex St. Salem, MA 01970. Enjoy!! <3
