Last year I did a (smaller) spooky gift ideas list, so I wanted to revisit that idea for 2018. If you’re already starting the holiday shopping for the season, the items below are a good fit for the Salem lover on your list. Maybe you live in the witch city or just want to send some Salem based gifts out…maybe you order one of each and keep it for yourself. It’s up to you. 😛
Witch City mug from Hauswitch
Every time I post pictures of mine on Instagram, I get tons of comments asking where I got it. It’s from Hauswitch and makes such a cute gift! Click here to shop. *Image used is per Hauswitch’s website.
Salem’s Black Hat Society swag
If you’ve been on Essex street around Halloween, you’ve likely run into Xander and Borah. For the SBHS or Salem fan on your list, you might consider some swag! It can be found at Coon’s Cards and Gifts or online here.

Salem gifts from Witch City Wicks
Witch City Wicks is such a gorgeous store, it just buzzes with dark Salem vibes. If you are browsing for gifts, you might consider the Salem candle or the Salem match bottle! Shop those items here and here. *Image used is per Witch City Wicks’ website.
Salem based books
In July of last year I partnered up with Wicked Good Books to come up with a recommended book list. We have spooky titles as well as Salem based ones. If you have a reader on your shopping list, they might enjoy some of our picks. Check it out here.
Classic sweets from Ye Olde Pepper Candy Companie
Did you know that Gibralters were the first commercially made candies in America? Grab a piece of history from Ye Olde Pepper Candy Companie for the stockings! They come in lemon or peppermint. Shop the goodies here.
Gift cards to Salem’s hotels and B&Bs
If you have a friend who is dying to visit the witch city, maybe a gift card towards their accommodations is a good idea! Many hotels and B&Bs offer gift cards, so I’d suggest reaching out to the ones you’re considering to inquire about your options.
Images of Salem for your home
There are many ways to get prints of the witch city for your house! I offer some right in my shop that I took myself, which you can browse here. My other go-to suggestion would be to check out Ty Hapworth’s work over on Etsy, right here.
Give the gift of preservation
Salem is full of so many historic sites, all of which need protection. Becoming a member or donating to organizations like the Salem Historical Society or Historic Salem helps those efforts! During the season of giving, help the witch city keep everything around for generations to come.

Shop Salem’s holiday markets
There is nothing like handmade, hyper local goods if you ask me. Support Salem’s small businesses by swinging by any of the holiday fairs or markets happening this season for one of a kind finds.
