Kick off Thanksgiving day in the witch city with a road race! The Wild Turkey 5 mile run is a good way to burn some calories before you consume them with friends and family later. 😛 Details per RaceWire and the Facebook event:
“Proceeds from the 15th Annual Wild Turkey 5 Mile Run on Thanksgiving morning benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Salem. This is the one of the largest races on the North Shore, with 2,000 anticipated participants.”
“The 15th Annual Wild Turkey 5 Mile Run will be held on Thanksgiving morning November 22, starting at 8:00am. Please join us as the route will start this year on Essex street near the Peabody Essex Museum and run down Derby Street thru Winter Island around the Salem Willows. The first 1700 runners who register will receive a long sleeve Brooks technical shirt. All proceeds from the race benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Salem”
