For those of you who aren’t local or aware of the Shanty’s seasonal operations, I wanted to throw this on the blog and calendar. Details per Facebook:
“Shanty affective disorder (SAD) is a mood disorder subset in which people who have normal mental health throughout most of the year exhibit depressive symptoms at the same time each year, most commonly between January 15th and April 1st. Common symptoms include sleeping too much, having little to no energy, being bereft of corn dogs, and drinking indoors. Have no fear, humans, we have the Shantidote!!!
Come join us at Noon, on Monday April 1st as we pitch open the doors for another fantastic season of friends, fun & food. There will be lobsters, libations and liberation as we throw off the shackles of another off-season. New menu will be revealed, old friendships will be renewed and, also, we got a new carpet. We can’t wait to see you again. Cheers!”
Opening day happens on April 1, 2019 beginning at noon. The Lobster Shanty is located at 25 Front St. Salem, MA 01970. Enjoy!! <3
