Two days ago we talked about Markos Taverna moving into Salem in a month or so and today on the blog I wanted to chat about The Flower Child. They had their ribbon cutting just a few days ago and they are officially open for business in the witch city! The following is from the Flower Child’s website:
“I’m going to give credit to my parents for my obsession and love for classic rock music. Growing up that’s all my family listened to whether it was dinner music, having dance parties, or just hanging around the house. I’ve had a few different career paths in my life. I grew up doing musical theater, dancing, singing, and acting. After college I was a manager at a high end NYC restaurant. I realized I wanted to open my own store after thinking about what truly made me happy in life. I wanted to surround myself with the hippie culture and classic rock music every day. I’ve always been fascinated with the hippie lifestyle and history. My friends and family always said I had an old soul and was born in the wrong time period. I strive to live my life in peace and harmony and I am a die hard zeppelin fan! I am this generation’s flower child and my store is an extension of me and my love for peace, love and rock and roll.”
Be sure to swing by their newly opened location at 131 Essex St. Salem, MA 01970. Enjoy!! <3
