Built in 1727 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Ropes Mansion (318 Essex St., a 10-minute walk from the museum) is recognized as one of New Englandβs most significant and thoroughly documented historic houses. Guests are invited to freely circulate throughout the 15 rooms, exploring at their own pace, with PEM Guides on hand to answer your questions. Get some historical interior design inspo, then enjoy a stroll through the Ropes Garden in this wonderful weather — and all for FREE!”
