Flashback Friday at the Hawthorne Hotel — June 14, 2019

I love anything to do with the 90’s, so this event is right up my alley! Send your friends messages on their pagers and be sure to practice your 90’s jams so you’re prepared! Details are per Facebook.

“Hey 90’s kids! The 90’s just called… and they want their leggings back! In fact – we’re all going back! Join us for the Hawthorne Hotel’s first Flashback Friday Event – RELIVE THE 90’s!

DJ Dane Leveton of 617 Weddings will be here with his boom box (SYKE!) spinning everything from NSYNC to Boyz II Men to Spice Girls. We just know his playlist will want to make you, “Jump! Jump!” If every song doesn’t make you grab your friends and say, “OMG this is my favorite song!” then don’t worry- there will be plenty to see and do. Throwback snacks will be available for munching, themed cocktails at the cash bar (credit cards accepted), a photo booth ready for you to bat your white-lined eyelashes to, and activities like MASH – cause let’s face it, we’re all still trying to figure it out!

So put down the Goosebumps, feed your Furby, clean up after your Tomagotchi and go put on a scrunchie and your big kid pants (yes, the overalls, no, not both straps! – or did you mean big…like Pipes?)… Because we’re about to party like its 1999! Stay the whole night or just stop by!

Best 90’s outfit will win an overnight stay at the Hawthorne Hotel on a date of your choosing (blackout dates may apply)! Come on who doesn’t want to dress in their favorite 90’s fashion?! As if! The winner will be chosen at 10:30pm!

Event Details

This is a 21+ event. Upon entering the event we will ask for your ID (no exceptions). Wrist bands will then be given out. Backpacks, real and fake weapons, alcohol, and outside food and drinks of any kind are not permitted inside the event. Please leave them at home or in your vehicle. The Hawthorne Hotel is a non-smoking building. Wrist bands will allow you to re-enter the event.

Ticket Details

Tickets for this event are $20. Please note that tickets are non-refundable. If you are under 21, you will not be allowed to enter, even if you have purchased a ticket. Tickets include the snack stations and use of the photo booth (complimentary digital file with prints available for purchase). Doors will open at 8:00 p.m.

Transportation

The Salem commuter rail station is 2 blocks from the hotel, and there is also the option of taking taxis, Ubers, Lyfts, etc.”
