Historic Salem has their hands in many projects around the witch city. They also help spread awareness and educate. This walk around Salem will help you learn about different historic styles and architecture. Details are per Facebook.
“The buildings we live among are snapshots of the time in which they were built. Their specialized form and detail can tell us a lot about the ideas and values our historic communities held and why a specific style was used. In this walking tour, we’ll cover almost 400 years of history contained in the handful of styles that can be found in almost any New England city; all of them revealing to us an idealized way of living that we, historically, strove to live up to.
All you’ll need to bring is a pair of comfortable walking shoes, water, and weather-appropriate clothing (as this event takes place rain or shine).Β Meeting place is in front of the Witch House (310 1/2 Essex Street)”
This walk takes place on June 23, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm, meeting in front of the Witch House. Enjoy!! <3
