Hey you guys! About a month ago I did a blog post asking you to submit your questions to me. I had done something similar on Instagram which got a good response, and you guys delivered again. I opened up questions about me, Salem, blogging, websites, my background, etc. So without further delay, here are my replies.
“How old are you?” – JC
I am 33.
“I am coming into Salem with my family this fall. Are there things the kids can do too?” – KE
Absolutely! Salem has kid friendly events scheduled for the fall every year. I’d check out the kids costume parade, the kick off parade or the great pumpkin walk!
“How long have you had your website?” – SG
Well, I bought the domain name like five years ago but only started actively building content on it about two and a half years ago.
“You should cover stuff in the other towns too. Would you ever do things in other towns?” – DF
Honestly, it already keeps me busy covering just Salem. Adding other towns would be a ton to add on top of that. I do love MA overall but Salem is my favorite. <3
“What should I be for Halloween? The Joker or IT?” – GN
The Joker!
“Do you go to school for webdesign?” – LQ
Nope. I went to school for behavioral psychology.
“I want to come in the winter. Is that silly because everything is closed?” – LZ
No, the winter can be an awesome time too. Off season Salem is very different. It’s more quiet, there are attractions that are closed for the colder months so check ahead, business hours are sometimes shortened. The weather can also be unpredictable so come prepared.
“I ran into you in at the street fair the week of the Arts Show and said hi to you and you were so nice and thank you for talking to me and for the hug!!!” – AL

“Do you suggest the ferry or the train as the best mode of transport from Boston to Salem in October?” – KM
It’s honestly personal preference, but I think I’d go for the train myself.
“What is your costume going to be this year for Halloween?” – PA
I don’t know yet!! I have been messing around on Pinterest trying to get some ideas together but I am stuck.

“Hawthorne Hotel or Salem Inn? Which is more haunted?” – JH
Officially, neither. However, I’d go with the Hawthorne Hotel based purely on awesome location. If you’re looking for haunted, maybe read about the history of what is now the Merchant Inn? That might get your attention.
“Do you run your social media and website yourself?” – SW
Yes I do!
“Coffee?” – KA
Heck yes. Iced coffee from Brew Box is my favorite.
“What is your name?” – MG
