Historic Salem, Inc. seeks volunteers for Christmas in Salem 2019

I know, I know. A post about Christmas…in July? Yup. I saw this info in Historic Salem’s newsletter and hopefully I can help them spread the word. They need volunteers for this year’s Christmas in Salem house tours!

“It’s that time again! We are currently looking for Volunteer Tour Guides for our 40th Annual Christmas in Salem Holiday House Tour. Tour Guides will be stationed in a room of one of the houses featured on the tour, where they will share information about the architecture, history, and decorations of the house (this information will be provided to you). Guide shifts will be as follows (one shift will be given per guide):

• Friday, December 6th from 5:30pm to 8:30pm
• Saturday, December 7th from 10:30am to 1:30pm or from 1:30pm to 4:30pm
• Sunday, December 8th from 11:30am to 2:00pm or from 2:00pm to 4:30pm

Please understand that, due to the complexities of scheduling such a large number of volunteers, this will not guarantee you a volunteer position for your selected time slot. You will be contacted in late summer or early fall with a confirmation, or a request to select an alternate time slot, if possible.

All Tour Guides will receive 1 FREE TICKET to attend the tour.

There are also a limited number of non-guide volunteer positions available (help at check-in, etc.) Please email alyssa@historicsalem.org if you are interested in a non-guide volunteer position.
