I love what all of the historic organizations in Salem do and this event looks like a ton of fun. Join in on the 75th anniversary book launch with Historic Salem, Inc. to celebrate the latest work of Jim McAllister and to also support a great organization. “Join us to celebrate the release of Jim McAllister’s latest installment of the history of Historic Salem, Inc.! A follow-up to McAllister’s 50-year history of HSI from 1944 to 1994, volume two covers the 25 years between 1994 and the present.
Jim will be on hand to sign his book (a copy of which is included with the price of admission!), and board member and architectural historian Vijay Joyce will offer a Winter Island history talk every 15 minutes atop the island’s “Gallows Hill.”
The VIP Reception for Members & Donors will begin at 5:30 pm, and the event will open to the public at 6:15 pm. Food will be provided, and a cash bar will be available. Tickets are $10 for members, $15 for non-members.”
