It Starts With Me! Thanksgiving Drive at the House of the Seven Gables — Nov. 2019

Thanksgiving is only a few weeks away! I love that the Gables works every year with It Starts With Me to collect food items, it’s so important to help out in your community when you can. Details of this year’s drive are per the Gables website. Image used is per the SSU Archives.

“The House of the Seven Gables is a drop-off location for the 12th annual It Starts With Me! Thanksgiving Drive. The following non-perishable goods can be dropped off at our Visitor Center November 1 – 22, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily:

• Gravy
• Roasting tins
• Stuffing
• Canned vegetables
• Bottled juice
• Cranberry sauce
• Cooking oil
• Gift cards to Market Basket that will be used to purchase turkeys and other perishable goods

This year, It Starts With Me! has the lofty goal of providing 500 area families with a complete Thanksgiving meal. If you’d like to support from afar, consider using smile.amazon.com and select The House of the Seven Gables Settlement Association — you’ll be helping two organizations at once!
