About the Market
The Salem Farmers’ Market is a tradition that dates back to 1634. With its peak around 1930, where more than 40 vendors sold goods in collapsible wooden stalls, an estimated 10,000 people visited the market on a single Saturday. In the early 1970s, the market ended, and the Salem Redevelopment Authority redesigned the square into what we now know as Derby Square.”
The Market takes place this year on Thursdays from June 11, 2020 to October 15, 2020 with an option half market day on October 1. It takes place at Derby Square behind the Old Town Hall, 32 Derby Sq. Salem, MA 01970. Enjoy!! <3
