Virtual Book Club with Salem, MA History Exchange — May 14, 2020

Are you cooped up inside and looking for something to do? If you are part of the Salem, MA History Exchange on Facebook you can join in on their virtual book club. It’s coming up, but you still have time to catch up if you want to participate. Details are per Facebook.

“CALLING ALL SALEM HISTORY LOVERS! We are all stuck at home, so why not read a book?! Amanda Eddy and History by the Sea (Jen Ratliff) are thrilled to announce that we are going to attempt a first ever Salem History Exchange VIRTUAL BOOK CLUB!

Over the next two (2) weeks, join us in reading Caroline Howard King’s “When I Lived in Salem 1822-1866.” This memoir takes a nostalgic journey through King’s childhood in Salem in the early 19th century. Caroline’s adventures, lessons, and favorite local haunts will have you unable to put this book down!

Jen and Amanda will ask the discussion questions, and YOU give us your thoughts and opinions. We’ll share them with the group and give everyone a chance to chime in through the comments section.
