Hi everyone! Happy Monday and welcome back to the blog. Today I have even more October event information for you and I am super excited to share this one. During the month of October there will be several free family movies on the Salem Common, including a sequel everyone has been waiting for!

Hocus Pocus 2 – Oct. 2, 2022 at 8pm
Sponsored by the City of Salem, Salem Haunted Happenings, and D23, the official Disney Fan Club! We are working on some special surprises and photos opps so stay tuned for more details. The free October movies are back, and we kicking off the season with a very special screening of Hocus Pocus 2!
“It’s been 29 years since someone lit the Black Flame Candle and resurrected the 17th century Sanderson sisters, and they are looking for revenge. Now it is up to three high school students to stop the ravenous witches from wreaking a new kind of havoc on Salem before dawn on All Hallows’ Eve. This film is not yet rated and arrives on Disney+ September 30.”

ParaNorman – Oct. 21, 2022 at 8pm
Sponsored by the City of Salem, Salem Haunted Happenings, and Laika! We are working on some special surprises and photos opps so stay tuned for more details. As part of the Laika Paranorman 10th anniversary celebration, we are excited to be screening this iconic film and homage to Salem!
“Young Norman Babcock (Kodi Smit-McPhee) has the ability to speak with the dead — and he often prefers their company to that of the living. Norman receives word from his strange Uncle Prenderghast (John Goodman) that a centuries-old witch’s curse on their town is real and about to come true — and that only Norman can stop it. “After moving to Salem, Mass., teenager Max Dennison (Omri Katz) explores an abandoned house with his sister Dani (Thora Birch) and their new friend, Allison (Vinessa Shaw). After dismissing a story Allison tells as superstitious, Max accidentally frees a coven of evil witches (Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy) who used to live in the house. Now, with the help of a magical cat, the kids must steal the witches’ book of spells to stop them from becoming immortal.”
