Happy Monday everyone and welcome back to the blog! If you have seen the cult classic Hocus Pocus then you know the outside of the Ropes Mansion was used as Allison’s house in the film. The Peabody Essex Museum is back again this year recreating it to look like the movie and I can’t waitttttt. Details and image used are per the PEM.
Hocus Pocus recreation at the Ropes Mansion — Oct. 2022
“Get into the Halloween spirit and take a walk over to the Ropes Mansion (318 Essex Street) to see it decorated in the style of classic Salem-based film Hocus Pocus. You won’t have to bob for apples during this visit to Allison’s house, but this is a must-see for any fan this October!
Please note: Ropes Mansion self-guided tours end for the season on October 23. We encourage you to visit the mansion’s historic garden, which is open every day, from dawn to dusk. Learn more about all our Eerie Events happening this fall at pem.org/halloween.”
This takes place Oct. 1, 2, 27, 28, 29, 30 and 31. Be sure to stop by for a photo op!
