The closest airport to Salem is Boston Logan (BOS) which is about a 30-45 minute drive away.<\/p>\n

Travel by train<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Travel by car<\/strong><\/h2>\n

If you\u2019re visiting by car, be aware that parking can be limited and is largely not free. Please also know that many footpath\/tourist areas do not allow vehicles on the roads (outside of police or emergency vehicles) so be sure you don\u2019t turn down any streets you aren\u2019t supposed to be on. Downtown Salem offers on street parking (both metered and free) as well as three parking garages (the Museum Place garage, the South Harbor garage and the MBTA garage).<\/p>\n
