Hi everyone, welcome back to the blog. Today I wanted to do a quick post talking about visiting Salem, MA off season. For the purposes of this blog post, when I say “off season” I mean pretty much any time of year that isn’t the fall. We all know coming into Salem in October is definitely something special, however there is plenty to do and see at other points. So let’s get right into it.<\/p>\n

Crowds<\/h4>\n

Of course, the most obvious benefit of visiting off season is the fact that the city will be far less crowded. October (non COVID-19 years, of course) can be shoulder to shoulder people, lines to get into most things, hotels booked 6 months+ in advance and more. If you come in the winter or spring for example, you’re able to enjoy all that Salem has to offer but without the chaos.<\/p>\n

Do keep in mind that some attractions keep seasonal hours, so if there is a certain place you’re set on visiting, be sure to check their hours ahead of time.<\/p>\n

Accommodations<\/h4>\n

As I just mentioned, hotels in Salem go very quickly when you’re looking for fall dates. If you’re coming off season it will likely be much easier to find a room, not to mention cheaper! A few of my favorites include the Hawthorne Hotel<\/a>, The Salem Waterfront Hotel and Suites<\/a> and the Salem Inn<\/a>.<\/p>\n
