Everyone likes to entertain the idea of a tarot reading in Salem, especially in the fall. There is something about the crisp air, leaves, proximity to Halloween and buzz in the city that just invites it. Salem has many shops that offer readers, so how do you pick one? Today on the blog I wanted to offer some info regarding just that! Read my tips and tricks for how to pick a tarot reader in Salem, MA.

First, ask around.

Do you know anyone who has had their cards read in Salem? Did they like where they went? Ask for suggestions and use word of mouth to make educated decisions. If you don’t have anyone to use as a reference, you could always ask in my Facebook group!! We have over 2,000 members in there, so you’ll be sure to connect with someone who has opinions on the matter. πŸ™‚ Request to join via the button under the banner at the top.

Next, consider what you’re looking for.

Do some of the readers you’re considering offer other things too like palm readings? Are some of them straight up psychics? Figure out exactly what you’re looking for and remove those from the list that don’t meet your requirements.

Pay attention to your gut.

When browsing the website of a certain reader or shop, do you get good vibes? Are there some you are immediately drawn to? Others you don’t care for? Even if you can’t put words to why you do or don’t like a certain option, pay attention to your gut. If you immediately have an opinion on a reader, that might be for a reason.

Learn about the reader.

Go onto the websites of the readers you’re consider and read their bios, if available. Find them on social media and get a feel for how they work. Taking a look at their presence online can give you a peek into what you can also expect from your read.

Be informed of pricing ahead of time.

There shouldn’t be any surprises! You should know before making any commitments how much it will cost and how much time you will have to sit with the reader. If you are ever given vague answers to this, I’d consider that a red flag.

Opinions, opinions.

This topic can be so subjective and a reader that one person loves might not be the best for you. This is why listening to your gut is so important! Pay attention to that voice so you can be sure you vibe with your reader.

Good luck and I hope this helps. Be sure to check out the links below for more about my experiences with having my cards read. Enjoy!! <3
