About a week ago I received a DM on Instagram from someone who is coming into Salem, MA with her friends on a girl’s getaway weekend. She was looking for a handful of thing they could do so I figured I would share some of that info here on the blog for those who are looking for similar.
Take a food tour
First suggestion I have is to take a food tour!! Salem has many amazing walks and tours, and I feel like wandering around with your friends and snacking on some of Salem’s tastiest is an awesome way to enjoy your time. I suggest looking into Salem Food Tours and Sips & Bites of Salem.
Grab something to sip on
I am definitely a fan of relaxing with a good cup of tea, and Jolie Tea Co. is an awesome spot to do so. The shop is decorated beautifully and they have a massive selection of tea. You could book a high tea seating and have finger foods while you enjoy, or take it to go and enjoy the Salem Common which is right across from the shop. If you want to see a peek at the inside of the shop and read an interview with the owner, click here to see the business spotlight I did there.
Now, if you want to make that beverage a little more “adult”, I’d suggest grabbing a drink at The Roof which is atop the Hotel Salem.
Smile for the camera
If tuning into the witchy vibe of the city is more of the theme you’re going for, why not bring the girls to Witch Pix for a photo shoot? You can dress up, have your photos taken and walk away with a souvenir all in one stop. I have a full review of my experience at Witch Pix here, if you’d like to read about it!
Put on your thinking caps
If something a little more hands-on and interactive is more your speed, check out Escape Room Salem in the Witch City Mall. Work together with the girls to get yourselves out of the room and puzzle solve together.
Do some shopping
The Salem Flea’s opening day is right around the corner and I think it’s a great stop for a ladies trip. With dates that go into October, check out the calendar to see if it’s happening the weekend you’re there. Browse local and handmade vendors, antique one of a kind finds and more and follow it up with some coffee at Front Street Coffee right around the corner.
I hope this was helpful! Feel free to comment below with your personal favorites spots for a weekend trip with the ladies. Enjoy!! <3
