things to do in salem, sweet tooth tour salem ma

With the summer coming quickly, I have had ice cream on the brain. Seriously…give me all of the ice cream sandwiches, please. All of them.
Today I decided we could have a little fun and do a “sweet tooth tour” of Salem. Let’s hit some sugary goodness in the witch city for those who aim to rot their teeth. These are a handful of my favorites when I need a sugar fix, feel free to comment below with your own go-tos.

Mr. Crepe
They have more than sugar at Mr. Crepe…you can get ones that have fruit, veggies and everything in between. However, my favorite is the Nutella and strawberries crepe. Ohhh my goodess. It’s super sweet, sprinkled with powdered sugar and delicious.

Melt Ice Cream
Salem is home to many businesses that offer ice cream, but Melt is my favorite. Check out their website for a run down of current as well as rotating flavors. They are always offering something unique.

S’mores from Ledger
Ohh so good. Made with graham cake, smoked vanilla ice cream, toasted marshmallow and salted fudge, they are sure to hit the spot.

Goodnight Fatty
Duh. You all knew this was coming. Goodnight Fatty takes up residence in Higginson Square on weekends in Salem and slings the most delicious cookies ever. The wait and price is well worth it.

Donuts from the street vendors in October
There is something about the donuts from the street vendors in October that is so yummy. I have had seasonal donuts elsewhere of course, but my favorite always comes from the tents and tables lining Salem’s Streets and in the Salem Common.

Hot chocolate from Jaho
Jaho offers gelato and other sweets, but I actually like their hot chocolate the best. It’s super rich and a nice treat during the colder months.

Popcorn from Popped!
Popped! is located on the Wharf in Salem and offers a ton of different flavors of popcorn. My favorites are caramel and cookies and cream.

What are your favorites when a sweet tooth hits? I’d love to hear. <3 Enjoy!!
