Five ways to celebrate Galentine’s Day this weekend in Salem, MA

Ladies celebrating ladies!! I love it. If you’re coming into the witch city with your crew this weekend and are looking for some fun things to do, I have you covered today on the blog.

The following are just a few suggestions, Salem has tons of other great businesses and attractions as well. This list could also work for regular Valentine’s Day celebrations too, of course.

Cookies are always a good idea

Two words: Goodnight Fatty. Be sure to swing by the Carriage House across from the Hawthorne Hotel to grab small batch, handmade, warm and delicious cookies. The flavors rotate every weekend so be sure to check out Goodnight Fatty on social media for that week’s offerings. I have literally never had a cookie from Goodnight Fatty that wasn’t amazing, trust me.

Chocolate, in the spirit of Valentine’s Day

Kakawa Chocolate House is right on Essex and is a great spot to grab a sweet treat. Other delicious and wonderful options include Turtle Alley, Harbor Sweets and Maria’s Sweet Somethings.

Rosé All Day (and other wines, of course)

The Cheese Shop of Salem offers complimentary wine tastings every Friday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm and Saturdays from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. You can also take advantage of a 10% discount on featured wines during the tastings. (This info is per the Cheese Shop’s newsletter.)

Get your snack on

Salem Food Tours is running a Valentine’s Food Tour on the 15th which could easily be adapted for a weekend with the ladies. Enjoy chocolate, red wine, champagne, oysters, seafood and more. Tickets and more info are available here, as of the publish date of this blog post there are six spots left.

Secrets of SHOPPING in Salem
