Hey everyone!! Welcome back to the blog. This past weekend (Feb. 6-8) was the Salem’s So Sweet Festival and if you have been around here for any length of time, you know this is one of my favorites. I have been covering this festival on my platforms for (I think?) ten years now, which is insane to think about.
My normal approach to this festival is to go out on Saturday and get images and videos of the ice sculptures for those who aren’t able to make it here in person. Well…on Saturday we had about seven inches of snow (on top of the two feet+ we got only a few weeks ago) and a parking ban that ran until 7pm. So there was no way I was going out downtown in that! So on Sunday I bundled up from head to toe in the single digit weather and braved it. The following are all 27 ice sculptures that were installed this year. Enjoy!!
