Last minute holiday gift ideas — 2024

Good morning everyone happy Monday and, as always, welcome back to the blog. The holiday season is in full swing and we are in the thick of it. Are you looking for a last minute gift? Today’s blog post is a handful of fast options that you can quickly grab or order online. Please keep in mind this list is not all inclusive, it’s just a fun starting point to help you get the ideas flowing.

Locally brewed cider or beer

This is a super easy one – stop by a package store, Pamplemousse or the brewery or cider house itself and grab a six pack to go. This makes for a super easy holiday gift or item to bring to a party where you don’t want to show up empty handed.

Snacks for the party

Sort of along the lines of the last item – do you need a cheese board for a holiday party? Stop by The Cheese Shoppe of Salem, A&J King and Harbor Sweets to grab everything you need for a last minute arrangement.

Gift cards

Gift cards are such an easy option when you need something quickly or a smaller item for a stocking stuffer. Grab a gift card to one of Salem’s many businesses, restaurants, shops or hotels. Many organizations here in Salem operate on donations and grants. A gift of a donation in a loved ones name is a super easy and fast option that you can do from anywhere. I’d suggest looking at Salem Main Streets, the Peabody Essex Museum, Salem Historical Society and Historic Salem, Inc.

Books

Wicked Good Books in downtown Salem has a lovely selection of titles, including ones about Salem’s history. Stop in there to grab a few quick options for the bookish folks on your holiday shopping list.

Tea

Is there a tea drinker in your life? A fast stop into Diehl Marcus & Co. will certainly take care of that. All of their blends are created in house by hand and they are absolutely lovely. I personally have a whole cabinet full!
