Over in my Facebook group, I see this question a lot. “How can I get from Boston, MA to Salem, MA?” I decided today to outline some options for you in regards to travel to the witch city! The closest airport to travel into when visiting Salem is Boston Logan Airport (BOS) and it’s located at 1 Harborside Dr, Boston, MA 02128.
By car
Rent a car
If you’re able to rent a vehicle, then you can drive right into Salem. The airport is about 45 min from Salem and it’s not a difficult ride, in my opinion. However, there are a few things to consider. If you’re visiting in the fall or around Halloween, parking once you get there can be very challenging unless you get into the city super early to land a spot. Another potential hiccup is that not all of the hotels in Salem have parking. I’d be sure to look into these things before making a reservation so you know what you’re signing up for.
