5 Summerween photo op locations in Salem, MA

Good morning all! Happy Monday and welcome back to the blog. Today I wanted to do a fun twist on Summerween content…today I am going to go over 5 Summerween photo op locations in Salem, MA. Because who doesn’t love a little Halloween in the summer time?

Salem Arts Festival

The Salem Arts Festival takes place every year in June. In 2025 the dates are June 6-8 and it is pretty common to see buskers wandering the festival, including everyone’s favorite witch…Borah from Salem’s Black Hat Society. The festival is a great place to browse, do some shopping, enjoy the performances and snap some spooky photos with the buskers. 🙂

Black Veil

Black Veil recently opened a second location on Essex street, right across from The Witch House. In the back of the shop is a huge gorgeous mirror and I can’t think of a better spot for a spooky mirror selfie in Salem.

Hocus Pocus filming locations

You knew this one was coming. 😛 Pick any of the Hocus Pocus filming locations and snap some photos there! Such a fun and classic tie in to the Halloween season. Need help finding the locations? I’ve got you covered.

Witches!

If you’re looking for a quintessential Salem photo op, I’d suggest either the Samantha Stephens/Bewitched statue or the witch inside of Blackcraft. Both are highly photographable, prime photo ops and have fun Summerween vibes.

The Salem Art Gallery & The Satanic Temple

If you’re looking for a spot that is an entire mood and a wholeeee vibe, look no further than the Salem Art Gallery and Satanic Temple on Bridge street. It’s home tons of amazing artifacts and of course, the iconic Baphomet statue. Also – did you know you can get married there?! What a location for an October wedding or elopement.
